When is my SSAF payment due?
Your SSAF payment is due by the census date of each semester. If you intend to defer your SSAF to your HELP debt via SA-HELP, you only need to fill the form in once and future SSAF payments will then be automatically deferred after census date. All upfront payments must be made by census date.
What is the SSAF? The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) is used by Australian universities to support the investment in non-academic services and amenities for students – from student advocacy and advice, to clubs and societies, to student wellbeing. | |
How will it be charged? The SSAF will be charged annually with your tuition fees. As the fee is effective from 1 July 2024, only a half fee will be payable in 2024. The full annual fee will be applied from 2025 onwards. | |

Yes. The SSAF will be charged annually with tuition fees to support investment in Notre Dame’s non-academic service and amenities. The funds raised by this fee will be in addition to the direct investment from the University, so we can deliver improvements and create an even better student experience. | |
I am a final year student who isn’t on campus – do I still have to pay? | |
Yes. SSAF spend is not restricted to students on campus. Many of our students use Wellbeing Services, Academic Advisory support and Career services when they are off campus and on placements. These services will only be enhanced with SSAF. The calculator above will help you determine the fee that will apply to you. | |
